I love having moments that kind of confirm the things you want to do in life. Like if you wanna be a stripper and strangers are always like, "Wow, your body is amazing, you should be a stripper." That sort of thing. I had an amazing moment with my mom today that confirmed my want to be a writer. I saw my mother, this woman who screams, yells, packs lunches, walks dogs, signs permission slips, and rules my household with an iron fist of german power, in a completely vulnerable state today. And without getting into too much mushy deatil, I saw my mother not as my mother but as a woman. And that doesn't happen often. I saw her as a person. And I appreciate moments like those. My mother could be anyone's mother but she's mine and for that, I'm glad. Because I'll grow up and write her stories and give her a voice that no one would hear otherwise. Yesh. Love you ma- X, dee.
